Economic cooperation between the US and Azerbaijan is entering a new phase.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Caleb Orr at a briefing in Baku dedicated to the results of the first Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue.
According to him, economic cooperation between the US and Azerbaijan is entering a new phase.
The US official stated that the parties intend to expand relations in the fields of regional peace, energy security, trade, and digital infrastructure.
Caleb Orr emphasized that during the delegation’s visit to Baku, commercial agreements with a total value of more than $8 billion were signed between SOCAR and the US private sector, as well as at the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
He noted that the parties discussed specific projects in the areas of energy, supply chains for critical minerals, regional transport and transit routes, aviation cooperation, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, and the modernization of Azerbaijan’s digital infrastructure.
“Relations between the US and Azerbaijan are developing, and this is just the beginning,” Caleb Orr added.
