NASA’s Miniature Human Brains Arrive at Space Station

NASA-s miniature human brain models, sent to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of an experiment, will be used to study the effects of microgravity and radiation on brain cells. The research aims to contribute to understanding the relationship between space travel, aging, and neurological diseases.
elchi reports that miniature human brain models grown in laboratory conditions were delivered to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of SpaceX’s 35th commercial resupply mission.
NASA’s “SpaceX CRS-35” mission launched on Tuesday from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The “Dragon” capsule, carrying the necessary supplies, docked with the orbiting space station on October 15th at 18:00 Turkish time.
The capsule contained approximately 2860 kilograms of cargo; among these were three-dimensional miniature human brain models made of neural tissue, called “miBrains”.
