The European Club Cup in chess has concluded in Budva, Montenegro.
elchi reports that in the men’s chess competition, our representative team “Vugar Gashimov” finished in 10th place with 10 points. In the women’s tournament, Serbian club “Sirmium Sremska Mitrovitsa” and our country’s club “Odlar Yurdu” shared 3rd-4th places with 10 points each. “Odlar Yurdu” ranked 4th based on additional indicators.
The Turkish club “Baegan Pendik”, featuring Azerbaijani grandmaster Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, became the winner of the European Club Cup.
It should be noted that Aydın Süleymanlı, competing in the “Vugar Gashimov” club, won a bronze medal on the first board based on individual results. Gülnar Məmmədova, playing for “Odlar Yurdu”, was awarded a gold medal on the fourth board.
