US Imposes Sanctions on 5 Organizations Linked to Chinese Citizen

The US State Department has imposed sanctions on 5 organizations linked to Chinese citizen Linvey Din in connection with the theft of trade secrets from American individuals.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a statement by the US State Department.

It was noted that the sanctions were imposed based on the US law on the protection of American intellectual property (PAIPA). According to the American side, the theft of trade secrets poses a serious threat to the economic interests, foreign policy, and national security of the United States.

The decision was made based on the results of an investigation conducted by the US Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. On January 29, 2026, a federal court jury found L. Din guilty on seven counts related to the theft of trade secrets.

According to the statement, he stole thousands of pages of confidential information containing Google’s trade secrets with the aim of using them for his own interests and for the interests of technology companies based in China.
