He stated that the tournament was organized magnificently:
“Honestly, I can’t find words. It was a magnificent tournament. Everyone who came to Baku, Azerbaijan, to watch the first FIFA U-15 World Championship and Festival had an unforgettable experience.
Football is for everyone and everywhere. This is the essence of FIFA. We must give opportunity, chance, and hope to everyone everywhere in the world. Every talent should have the opportunity to play in the World Cup. It doesn’t matter if their country is big or small, rich or poor. Everyone deserves a chance.
189 countries came, met, and gathered. Even if they didn’t speak the same language, they managed to communicate. They all stayed in the same place. I talked to them too. It was truly wonderful. 14-15 year old boys brought happiness, joy, and love. They will carry this experience with them throughout their lives. On behalf of FIFA, I am extremely happy”.
