Iran is willing to hand over its enriched uranium to the Russian side instead of sending it to the United States.
elchi reports that this is stated in Tehran’s revised draft agreement for resolving the conflict with Washington, and the “Al Hadath” television channel has quoted those parts.
According to the TV channel, Iran’s improved draft notes that the Islamic Republic is ready to “hand over enriched uranium to Russia instead of the US under certain conditions.” No information is provided regarding what those specific conditions are. In addition, according to the TV channel, the Iranian side may abandon its demand against the US for compensation for damages caused during the war, but Tehran still intends to obtain “economic concessions” from Washington.
It is also noted that Iran wants Oman and Pakistan to “play an important role in any conflict that may arise around the Strait of Hormuz,” and for any potential agreement with the US to be guaranteed by the international community. Furthermore, as “Al Hadath” has learned, Tehran is trying to “separate the problem related to the nuclear program from the resolution of shipping issues in the Strait of Hormuz zone” and intends to achieve a “long-term freeze” of its nuclear program instead of its complete dismantling.
