A series of events have been held on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the Special Forces.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Defense, the leadership of the Special Forces and a group of military personnel first visited the bust of National Leader Heydar Aliyev located in the military unit’s territory and the memorial complex erected in memory of the martyrs.
During the events attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Military Prosecutor’s Office, as well as Special Forces personnel, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and those who died for the Motherland was honored with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
The congratulations of the Ministry of Defense leadership were conveyed to the participants of the event.
Speakers spoke about the history of the Special Forces and discussed the bravery shown by the personnel in the liberation of our lands from enemy occupation.
It was especially emphasized that the President, the victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to the Special Forces, and that the heroism of the special forces during the 44-day Patriotic War and other operations is always highly appreciated.
The special forces soldiers noted with confidence that they are ready for every order of the Commander-in-Chief today as well, that they will always serve the Motherland with honor, and that they will justify the trust placed in them, speaking with pride about their service in the Special Forces.

Within the framework of the events, the graves of the martyrs were visited, and military personnel visited the families of the martyrs.
Families and relatives of the martyrs expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, for the attention and care shown to them by the state.
In the end, a group of military personnel who distinguished themselves in service were awarded.
