Today marks the 108th anniversary of the establishment of the prosecutor’s office in Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of prosecutor’s office employees.
elchi reports that out of 1279 people working in the prosecutor’s office, 125 are women.
Of the 265 people in leadership positions, 252 are men and 13 are women. The share of women in these positions was approximately 4.9 percent.
Compared to 2020, the number of women working in the prosecutor’s office has increased from 78 to 125. This means an increase of 47 people or 60.3 percent. During the same period, the number of women in leadership positions increased from 8 to 13.
As for prosecutor positions, 60 women and 482 men worked in 2025. This indicator covers heads of district, city, and military prosecutor’s offices, as well as heads of departments and divisions.
Overall, from 2020 to 2025, the number of employees in the prosecutor’s office increased from 1157 to 1279.
