Political consultations held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Luxembourg

Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg were held in Luxembourg.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.

It was stated that the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Luxembourg side was led by Veronique Dockendorf, Director of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg.

During the consultations, the parties held a broad exchange of views on issues of bilateral cooperation. In this context, the current state and development prospects of political relations, cooperation in the consular field, economic relations, as well as humanitarian ties in the fields of education, science, and culture were reviewed.

The parties emphasized the importance of mutual visits and contacts within the framework of international events in terms of ensuring a continuous political dialogue.

Cooperation within international organizations, including the mutual support of candidacies, was discussed.

During the consultations, a detailed exchange of views took place regarding the current situation in the region, the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, the large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and demining works carried out in the liberated territories, as well as international issues of mutual interest.

Within the framework of the visit, F. Rzayev also held a number of business meetings in Luxembourg and participated in discussions organized in a round-table format at the University of Luxembourg.
