During his business trip to Bangkok, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Sihasak Phuanqketkeov.

It was noted that the ministers reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations. The great potential for expanding cooperation in political dialogue, economic and trade relations, as well as culture and tourism, was emphasized.
The opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Thailand in December 2025 and the holding of the first round of political consultations between the ministries were noted as key events strengthening the institutional framework of relations.
The parties noted the importance of partnership within international platforms, including the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Jeyhun Bayramov provided his counterpart with detailed information about Azerbaijan’s peace agenda, the large-scale reconstruction work being carried out in the liberated territories, and demining activities.
During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place regarding security issues in the wider region and the current situation in the Middle East.
