Iraq will soon increase the volume of oil transported from Kirkuk to the port of Ceyhan to 500,000 barrels per day.
elchi reports that the Iraqi Ministry of Oil has released information regarding this matter.
In mid-March, Iraq increased the daily transport volume along the Kirkuk-Ceyhan route to 250,000 barrels. On April 6, the country began redirecting approximately 90,000 barrels of oil per day from the southern Basra province to Iraqi Kurdistan. This oil is then transported via pipeline to Ceyhan, bringing the total supply volume along the northern land route to 340,000 barrels.
It should be noted that in March, Iraq’s oil exports decreased by approximately 80%.
