The Main State Traffic Police Department (MSTPD) has issued an appeal regarding foggy weather conditions.
According to information provided by MSTPD to “Elchi”, foggy weather is currently observed in some regions of the country, including the capital.
It was stated that such weather conditions significantly reduce visibility on roads, which increases the risk of road traffic accidents.
The traffic police advised drivers to check the functionality of fog lights and lighting systems before starting to drive, choose a speed appropriate to the existing visibility conditions, avoid sudden maneuvers and overtakes, maintain a safe distance, and use hazard lights and warning signs when stopping or in case of an accident.
Pedestrians, on the other hand, were advised to cross the road only at designated crossings and not to suddenly step onto the roadway.
The Main State Traffic Police Department emphasized that in conditions of limited visibility, carelessness and irresponsible behavior of road users can lead to serious road traffic accidents.
