elchi-a According to information provided by AZAL, the new “Airbus A321neo” aircraft contributes to expanding transportation capabilities on high-demand routes and increasing operational efficiency. The continuous addition of new-generation aircraft of this type to the fleet increases flexibility in flight program planning and helps adapt to seasonal changes in passenger flow.

The new aircraft is equipped with the modern “Airspace” cabin concept, an in-flight entertainment system, and high-speed “Wi-Fi” service. The updated interior, spacious overhead compartments, and adjustable lighting contribute to passenger comfort. The “Airbus A321neo” is characterized by approximately 20 percent lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions per seat compared to previous generation models.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan Airlines accepted its first “Airbus A321neo” aircraft in July 2026. With the arrival of the second “A321neo”, the total number of new aircraft added to the fleet this year has reached five. Two more aircraft of this type are expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

Azerbaijan’s national carrier continues to consistently supply aircraft as part of its long-term development program. The program aims to expand the fleet, increase the proportion of modern aircraft within it, and form a sustainable operational base for future passenger transportation.

Within this framework, Azerbaijan Airlines aims to increase its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032. The fleet renewal is carried out in parallel with the expansion of the route network, the improvement of operational efficiency, the enhancement of services offered to passengers, and the strengthening of pilot professional training.
