To ensure the safety of pedestrians, the most vulnerable participants in road traffic, the State Traffic Police regularly carries out control and preventive measures.
elchi reports that, unfortunately, we must note that despite repeated warnings, propaganda, advocacy, and educational work, there are still individuals among pedestrians who are indifferent to such a vital issue as safety, which turns them into victims of road accidents.
Analysis of road traffic accidents involving pedestrians shows that the absolute majority of such accidents occur near pedestrian crossings, or underground or overhead pedestrian passages, especially during dark hours.
For this reason, the Main State Traffic Police Department once again appeals to pedestrians, urging them to be careful when crossing the road, including refraining from using phones, headphones, and similar devices, not to linger at designated pedestrian crossings, to cross the road only in places intended for their movement, to comply with traffic light signals, and especially to unconditionally adhere to safety rules when moving with young children.
