During control measures carried out by employees of the State Ecological Security Service over the past week, facts of illegal felling of greenery have been discovered in Gabala, Shamakhi, Khachmaz, and Lerik districts.

It was stated that during the investigation, it was determined that illegal felling of trees around the water canal passing through the territory of the villages of Kichik Emili and Zalam in Gabala district, in Marzandi of Shamakhi district, in the territory of Aghtala villages of Khachmaz district, and near the village of Bobla in Lerik district, caused damage to greenery in the amount of 40,529 manats.
As the amount of damage caused to greenery in each case constitutes a criminal offense, the collected materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
