Premier League clubs move for Galatasaray player

Arsenal and Liverpool of England want to transfer Aleksey Batrakov, who plays for Turkey’s Galatasaray team.

elchi reports, citing the TEAMtalk publication, that scouts from both clubs watched the “Lille” – “Galatasaray” match in the UEFA tournament this week.

The 21-year-old Russian midfielder also scored in the match, which the Istanbul representative won 4:2. It is reported that “Manchester United”, “Chelsea” and “Manchester City” clubs have also been watching the player since summer.

Batrakov transferred to “Galatasaray” from Moscow “Lokomotiv” for 25 million euros during the summer transfer window. While sanctions prevent English clubs from conducting direct transfer negotiations with Russian representatives, they do not create obstacles for interested parties after his transfer to a Turkish club.

The Russian footballer has attracted attention with his successful performance in his new team. He has scored two goals and provided two assists in his first six starts.

Although “Galatasaray” wants to keep the player in the team, a special clause in his contract further increases the interest of English clubs. Specifically, Batrakov’s contract includes a release clause of approximately 50 million pounds sterling for clubs in England, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

Payment of that amount could allow Galatasaray to earn approximately double the income from the sale of the player.
