Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Starlink in the country turns off as before when it reaches a speed of 161 km/h.
“Elchi” reports, citing “RBK-Ukraine”, that the Ukrainian leader said this during an online address at the “Hudson Institute” in Washington.
According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian side tested the operation of satellite communication in several directions – in the civilian sector and in areas close to the front line. The test results showed that the restriction set for Starlink has not yet been lifted.
The President of Ukraine noted that Kyiv understands the technical mechanism for lifting the existing limit.
“We understand how this restriction can be technically lifted. We hope that SpaceX and the US administration will do this,” Zelensky said.
He added that the US has promised to resolve this issue.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump commented on the restrictions in the operation of the Starlink satellite communication system in Ukraine, stating that he trusts SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
