India condemns a series of attacks on commercial vessels in the Black Sea, some of which had Indian citizens among their crew, and calls for dialogue and diplomacy, as well as the restoration of maritime security.
elchi reports that this was stated by the official representative of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, at a briefing.
“In the last day or two, we have witnessed a series of attacks in the Black Sea region. We condemn such attacks that threaten commercial shipping and endanger the lives of our sailors,” he said.
“We reiterate our call for dialogue and diplomacy. Attacks on commercial vessels and sailors must end to ensure the swift restoration of peace in the region. Free and unimpeded navigation in international waters must be restored as soon as possible,” Jaiswal emphasized.
