The joint military exercise “Power of Unity – 2026” is being held in Khojavand district.
elchi reports that the head of the Press and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense, Anar Eyvazov, stated at a briefing that this is the first large-scale military exercise held in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
According to him, the exercise demonstrates the characteristics of hybrid warfare.
In addition to Azerbaijan, military personnel from Turkey and Uzbekistan are involved in the exercise.
Iran, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Serbia, and the United Arab Emirates are participating as observers.
Anar Eyvazov noted that 3579 personnel, 135 unmanned aerial vehicles, 76 armored vehicles, 94 artillery systems, 27 aviation assets, 34 EW/ECM/RL systems, 18 air defense assets, 8 sets of engineering equipment, and 25 naval assets are participating in the exercise.
