The opening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on the fulfillment of the conditions presented by the Iranian side to the USA.
“Elchi” reports, citing ISNA, that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated this regarding the results of meetings held with US officials on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
“Our conditions are clear. Any progress toward opening the Strait of Hormuz depends on the fulfillment of these conditions, and we will not back down from them,” the Iranian Foreign Minister noted.
According to him, the first reaction to Iran’s conditions came from US President Donald Trump.
“However, nothing has been conveyed to us from the mediators yet,” Araghchi emphasized.
It should be recalled that Trump stated that he rejected the plan proposed by the Iranian side regarding the restoration of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
