Although Azerbaijan can acquire any technology at the expense of large financial resources, human capital and accumulated experience play a key role in the country’s sustainable development.
“Elchi” reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated this at an event held within the framework of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.
The head of state noted that the literacy rate in the country being close to 100 percent and the extensive work carried out in the field of education play an important role in increasing human capital.
Emphasizing the successful management experience gained in the oil and gas sector, President Ilham Aliyev noted that although more than 70 percent of GDP currently accounts for the non-oil sector, cooperation with international partners continues to reduce the dominance of oil and gas in exports.
