On September 22, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, met with Colonel-General Sebahattin Kilinc, Head of the International Joint Strategic Command of the General Staff of the Republic of Türkiye, who is on a visit to our country.

It was stated that welcoming the guests, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are based on the principles of historical friendship, brotherhood, and strategic partnership.
The parties noted that the joint exercises held with the participation of military personnel of the two countries make a significant contribution to improving the professional training of personnel, expanding the exchange of mutual experience, and further strengthening cooperation between our armies.
During the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was also held on military, military education, military-technical, regional security, and a number of other issues of mutual interest.
