Two more members of the Azerbaijani national team have secured victories at the European Boxing Championship held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
elchi reports that on the second day of the competition, Mahammadali Ashiraliyev (60 kg) fought against Edgaras Skurdelis (Lithuania) in the Round of 32.
The boxer won by a unanimous decision of the judges – 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 30:27). In his second bout, he will face Ayder Abduraimov (Ukraine), who received a bye in the first round, on September 21.
Malik Hasanov (65 kg) also started the European Championship with a victory. Our representative proved stronger than Bilge Kagan Kanli (Turkey) in his first fight – 5:0 (30:25, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). In the Round of 16, Hasanov will face Rumen Rumenov (Bulgaria), who received a bye in the first round. The match will take place on September 20.
