US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he has banned three major news media outlets – “CNN”, “MS NOW” and “Politico” – from entering the White House.
“Elchi” reports that President Trump accused these media organizations of “spreading fake news” in his social media post. He stated that “they should not constantly write and spread fabricated and false information while covering the activities of the President of the United States.” Trump added: “Other fake media outlets will face the same fate.”
Donald Trump stated that no specific incident had occurred to trigger the ban. “It is simply a collection of news published over the last few years,” he told reporters in the Oval Office.
When asked which organizations were meant by the phrase “other media outlets will face the same fate,” Trump named “The New York Times” and “The Washington Post,” which he refers to as “fake news.”
