Events dedicated to September 20 – State Sovereignty Day have been held in the regional centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was stated that, first, flowers were laid in front of the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and the dear memory of the Great Leader was commemorated with deep respect.
At the events, which began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Then, the speakers noted that thanks to the wise leadership, high command skills, brilliant diplomatic talent of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, and the unparalleled bravery of the valiant Azerbaijani Army in response to Armenia’s provocations on September 27, 2020, as well as the successful anti-terror measures carried out on September 19-20, 2023, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country were fully restored. Thus, the sovereignty of our state was ensured as a result of the glorious heroic struggle of the Azerbaijani people.
It was noted that according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated September 19, 2024, September 20 was declared State Sovereignty Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
