Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has decided to purchase attack drones from India.
“Elchi” reports that the “Hraparak” newspaper has provided information regarding this matter.
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense conducted a comparative analysis of the most promising foreign models of medium-range UAVs to find suitable procurement options. Drones produced in the USA, France, Iran, Ukraine, Israel, India, China, and Russia were considered. Military experts deemed India’s “Divyastra MK-1” drone the most suitable option. It features a record-low price, artificial intelligence, and the ability to be used in mass swarms.
Furthermore, in the current situation, if Armenia were to purchase drones from Russia, Europe and the USA would be dissatisfied. Therefore, cooperation with India in this field is considered a more balanced and beneficial solution.
