elchi reports that this was stated by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, in his statement to journalists.
He noted that Georgia is paying maximum attention to strengthening relations with neighboring countries.
“In just the last few months, I have made three state visits to Central Asian countries, and two heads of state from Central Asian countries have visited Georgia. Expanding political and economic ties is a key priority for us,” Kobakhidze added.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Georgia’s foreign policy is aimed at making maximum use of the country’s strategic geographical position.
“Georgia has free trade agreements with many countries. We are deriving great benefits from this. Cargo turnover in the Middle Corridor is also increasing. Since 2020, cargo turnover along the route has increased approximately sevenfold,” Kobakhidze noted.
