The official foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) increased in the first 8 months of 2026.
“Elchi” reports, citing the CBA, that as of August 31, the Central Bank’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to 15.3 billion US dollars.
At the end of last year, this figure was 11.5 billion dollars. Thus, since the beginning of the year, foreign exchange reserves have increased by 3.8 billion dollars or 32.9%.
At the end of August 2025, the CBA’s official foreign exchange reserves amounted to 11.2 billion dollars. In annual comparison, reserves increased by 4.1 billion dollars or 36%.
It should be noted that at the end of July, the Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves were 13.8 billion dollars. Thus, in August alone, reserves increased by approximately 1.5 billion dollars or 11.1%.
