Truck overloaded by 34 tons – A dangerous scene

Overloading not only damages roads but also increases the risk of accidents.

elchi reports that this was noted in an appeal by the Main State Traffic Police Department.

During control measures carried out by officers of the Main State Traffic Police Department, the weight parameters of a “Shacman” brand truck with state registration plate 99-GU-473 were checked using electronic scales. The inspection revealed that the actual mass of the vehicle, which has a maximum permissible mass of 32 tons, was 66 tons.

The recorded figure means that the maximum mass limit set for the vehicle in question was exceeded by more than twice. Such a situation not only seriously affects the safe operation of the vehicle but also increases the probability of a traffic accident and causes premature deterioration of the road surface.

In general, overloading vehicles leads to an increase in braking distance, a decrease in maneuvering and stability capabilities, and increased stress on tires, brakes, and suspension systems. This increases the risk of loss of control, technical malfunctions, and severe traffic accidents.

At the same time, the operation of overloaded heavy-duty vehicles causes damage to road surfaces, bridges, and other road structures, reducing their service life.

The Main State Traffic Police Department calls on legal and physical entities engaged in cargo transportation activities, as well as drivers, to strictly adhere to the established weight standards and not to allow the operation of overloaded vehicles.
