Honey fair to be held in Baku

The 26th Republican Exhibition-Fair of Beekeeping Products will be held in Baku, jointly organized by the “Agro Procurement and Supply” OJSC under the Ministry of Agriculture and the “Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association” Public Union.

elchi reports, citing the ministry, that registration for participation in the fair will be carried out online via the bal.kendden.az portal from September 7 at 11:00 to September 9 at 23:59.

Registration will be open only to farmers who have declared their farms with a minimum of 40 bee colonies in the Electronic Agricultural Information System (EKTIS) by September 1, 2026. Beekeepers who have earned the right to participate in the fair will be notified via SMS.

Each beekeeper can sell a maximum of 450 kg of honey (including packaging) and 30 honeycomb frames at the fair. Sucrose samples will be taken from the products by employees of the Food Safety Agency and tested in laboratory conditions. Products whose indicators do not meet quality and food safety standards will not be allowed for sale at the fair.

Applications for the fair and laboratory analyses will be subject to a fee. Beekeepers participating in the fair will be provided with sales space, necessary equipment, marketing and PR support, as well as other essential services.
