Decision made regarding 4 people accused of high treason in the form of espionage

The court process regarding the appeal filed against the verdict of Ilkin Ganbarov, Vusal Agayev, Tural Aliyev, and Mammad Sharifov, who are accused of high treason, has been held.

“Elchi” reports that a decision was made at the Baku Court of Appeal during the process chaired by judge Habil Mammadov.
According to the decision, the appeal was not granted, and the verdict of the Baku Military Court was upheld.

According to the verdict of the Baku Military Court, the accused Ilkin Ganbarov and Vusal Agayev were sentenced to 18 years, and Tural Aliyev and Mammad Sharifov were sentenced to 17 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

It should be noted that Ilkin Ganbarov, Vusal Agayev, Tural Aliyev, and Mammad Sharifov, who were accused of high treason in the form of espionage by assisting representatives of a foreign special service, were detained and brought to investigation as a result of measures taken by the State Security Service (DTX).
They were charged under Article 274 (high treason) of the Criminal Code.
