The European Parliament’s Committee on International Trade (INTA) has approved the temporary abolition of customs duties on a wide range of products imported from Armenia to the European Union.
“Elchi” reports that the decision was made against the backdrop of trade restrictions imposed by Russia on Armenian exports.
According to the proposal, the EU plans to abolish customs duties on a number of Armenian products for a period of two years. At the same time, it is planned to introduce quotas for the duty-free import of eight types of Armenian agricultural products into the EU market.
These products include grapes, apricots, cherries, peaches, and cucumbers.
