In Russia’s Novosibirsk region, an unknown person opened fire on hunters, resulting in 1 death and 2 injuries.
“Elchi” reports, citing Russian media, that the incident occurred on August 28 at one of the lakes in the Moshkovo district.
The incident became known after one of the hunters called a relative. The man stated that they had been fired upon, after which he hid in the car, while his two relatives remained outside.
Rescuers who arrived at the scene discovered one body. One of the hunters was seriously injured, and the other sustained minor injuries. The seriously injured person was evacuated from the forest and handed over to an emergency medical team.
Rescuers remained at the scene all night, and additional police forces arrived near Saturday morning.
The cause of the incident is being investigated.
