The period of service in the rank of lieutenant for military personnel who have graduated from special educational institutions will be regulated by a new rule.
elchi reports, citing Trend, that this is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service” discussed at today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft law, the period of service in the rank of lieutenant will be set at 2 years (1 year for military personnel serving in flight crews of aviation and on submarines) for military personnel who have graduated from special educational institutions that train military personnel with a study period of 5 years, and 1 year in other cases determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
According to the current law, the period of service in the rank of lieutenant is set at 1 year for military personnel who have graduated from special educational institutions that train military personnel with a study period of 5 years or more.
The draft law was put to a vote after discussions and adopted in the first reading.
