During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on the first anniversary of the Peace Summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025, with the support of US President Donald Trump, which ensured the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as on the occasion of the initialing of the text of the Peace Agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia.
The parties particularly emphasized the important role played by President Donald Trump and the Government of the United States of America in advancing the peace process.
The parties noted the progress achieved in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the past year.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries is a concrete manifestation of the benefits of peace. In this context, the parties noted the export of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia, as well as the transportation of transit goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia and from Armenia to other directions.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the TRIPP route in accordance with the agreements reached in Washington.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to advance the peace process and ensure lasting peace and stability in the region, including connectivity and economic cooperation.
