The Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has appealed to drivers regarding the uninterrupted movement of public transport.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the NIIM, the appeal states:
“The violation of traffic rules by some passenger car drivers on the capital’s roads leads to route buses becoming involved in road traffic accidents. Analysis of several such accidents recorded by surveillance cameras suggests that in some cases, drivers suddenly enter the lanes of buses full of passengers, fail to maintain a proper following distance, and cause accidents due to negligence.
As a result of the road traffic accident, not only does a dangerous situation arise for the lives of passengers, but they are forced to disembark, the bus involved in the accident is taken out of service, and a replacement bus is needed to restore the route. Thus, as a result of one driver’s irresponsible approach to traffic rules, dozens of passengers experience both danger and stress, as well as face additional loss of time.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on drivers to be more careful in relation to route buses, to maintain a safe following distance, not to suddenly enter bus lanes, and to strictly follow traffic rules.”
