Azerbaijan’s cooperation with Central Asian countries is one of the main directions of our foreign policy. In particular, relations with the brotherly Kyrgyz Republic are based on the same ethnic roots, common religious and moral values, and a rich historical and cultural heritage. Friendship and strategic partnership relations between the two brotherly countries of the Turkic world have entered a new stage of development in recent years under the leadership of leaders Ilham Aliyev and Sadyr Japarov. Against the background of a high level of political dialogue, cooperation in economic, humanitarian, and cultural fields has expanded significantly, and relations have acquired a strategic content. As a result, relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have risen to a qualitatively new level and have been further strengthened. These pleasant relations are of great importance in terms of strengthening solidarity and unity in the Turkic world, protecting and developing common values, and expanding multilateral cooperation. President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic was remembered as the beginning of a new stage of cooperation in Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations. This visit was a very significant event in terms of further strengthening political dialogue, developing bilateral cooperation and brotherly relations, as well as strengthening unity and solidarity in the Turkic world.
These thoughts were expressed by Rashad Mahmudov, a member of the YAP Board and a deputy of the Milli Majlis.
He noted that the high respect shown to President Ilham Aliyev during his state visit to Kyrgyzstan, the meetings held, and the documents signed clearly demonstrated the strategic nature of the relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan and that they are based on mutual trust. The 3rd meeting of the Interstate Council of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan showed that the political dialogue between the two brotherly countries is expanding and important prospects are opening up ahead.
The awarding of President Ilham Aliyev with the “Manas” Order of the 1st degree by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, is a manifestation of the high prestige the head of our state has in the Turkic world and the value placed on his services. President Ilham Aliyev’s awarding of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, with the “Heydar Aliyev” Order, the highest state award of Azerbaijan, revealed that the friendly relations, mutual respect, and strategic partnership between the two countries are developing at the highest level. All this went down in history as the brightest page of the chronicle of brotherhood written in Bishkek. President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic demonstrated to the whole world that the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are built on unshakable foundations.
The thoughts voiced by the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, at the award ceremony were noted as further confirmation of the prestige President Ilham Aliyev has gained in the international arena and the successful policy he implements. Azerbaijan’s strengthening position in the region and its contributions to the development of cooperation between Central Asia and the South Caucasus were remembered as an indicator of the high respect the brotherly countries have for our country.
This attitude was an official declaration that the steps taken by President Ilham Aliyev towards strengthening peace, stability, and mutually beneficial cooperation are highly valued at the international level.
The signing of the agreement on alliance relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of the leaders once again confirmed a historical truth. Relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are successfully developing today based on the principles of unshakable alliance, brotherhood, and mutual trust. This is one of the brightest examples of the determined political will demonstrated for the sake of the unity and common goals of the Turkic world. It is precisely as a result of this will that the consistent and successful diplomacy implemented by the Azerbaijani leader is strengthening relations between brotherly states and defining new horizons for cooperation. President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic was also remembered for the fact that this visit once again revealed that Azerbaijan is an extremely important and reliable partner for Central Asian countries. The holding of the informal meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries, which was watched with interest, and the signed Cholpon-Ata Declaration were important steps serving to further strengthen cooperation and friendly relations between brotherly peoples.
The deputy concluded by stating that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan acts as an influential state in the global arena, taking initiative and having a say on political and economic platforms. While successfully hosting international events, our country also contributes to the expansion of cooperation and the formation of regional initiatives. The head of state’s state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and his participation in the informal Summit of Central Asian heads of state once again showed that Azerbaijan is an irreplaceable country for Central Asia, the Turkic world, and the world as a whole, acting as a reliable partner, promoting dialogue and cooperation, and successfully fulfilling the role of a bridge between different geographies.
