A pair of Polish Air Force fighter jets on duty were scrambled to escort a Russian Il-20 aircraft flying over the Baltic Sea.
elchi reports that, according to Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz’s post on the “X” social network, the incident occurred 40 km north of the Polish coastal city of Kołobrzeg. The minister emphasized that, once again, Polish airspace was not violated.
Throughout July, the Polish military reported four similar incidents.
