The participants of the 7th Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth, organized jointly by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, have arrived in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the 7th camp, which will be held from August 2 to 8, is dedicated to the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture.”
To participate in the camp, 123 Azerbaijani youth from 64 countries, as well as representatives of nations friendly to Azerbaijan, are already in the country.
First, the participants visited the grave of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, paid tribute to the dear memory of the Great Leader, and laid a wreath at his grave.
Afterward, they visited the 1st and 2nd Alley of Martyrs and paid tribute to the brave sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The youth were provided with detailed information about the services rendered by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in strengthening the Azerbaijani state, preserving national unity, and forming the diaspora policy. Furthermore, the heroism of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, the historic Victory gained in the 44-day Patriotic War, and how this victory forms the basis of Azerbaijan’s new stage of development were discussed.
Having completed the visit program in the capital, the camp participants shared their impressions. Banu Javadova, a student at Bordeaux Montaigne University in France, stated that she felt great joy to be in her homeland and expressed her confidence that the camp would create significant opportunities for building new friendships with Azerbaijani youth from various countries.
Murad Bayramzadeh, a student at Boston University in the USA, noted that his dream of seeing Karabakh was coming true and said that the 7th Summer Camp for Diaspora Youth would be one of the experiences that would leave an unforgettable mark on his life.
Selen Sultan, who works as an English teacher in Vietnam, said that it was her first time visiting the Alley of Martyrs and that being there evoked both pride and deep emotions in her.
Mutallim Umudov, a student from Yekaterinburg, Russia, shared the joy of coming to his homeland and expressed that he was looking forward to his first trip to Karabakh.
Within the framework of the camp, which will be organized under the slogan “Reviving Cities” in the East Zangezur economic region, panel discussions, meetings with martyrs’ families, diplomats, and art figures, trainings on various topics, intellectual and entertainment programs, musical evenings, as well as excursions will be held.
It should be noted that so far, Summer Camps for Diaspora Youth have been organized in the cities of Shaki, Shamakhi, Shusha, Nakhchivan, Lachin, and Khankendi. A total of more than 700 young people from 84 countries around the world have participated in these camps.
