Swiss Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in his capacity as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
“Elchi” reports that the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has released information regarding this.
According to the information, during his visit to Azerbaijan, I. Cassis will hold talks on bilateral relations, the peace process in the South Caucasus, as well as the role of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship in the region.
It was stated that after Azerbaijan, the OSCE Chairman will visit Turkmenistan. The dates for the visits to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are August 4–5.
It was noted that the federal minister’s visit will be the first stage of a regional tour, which will continue with visits to Armenia and Georgia in the autumn. (“Report”)
