On July 30, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, together with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, attended the opening of the Golf Club at the “Issyk-Kul Golf Resort” complex in Cholpon-Ata.
“Elchi” reports that a video about the “Issyk-Kul Golf Resort” complex and the Golf Club was screened first.
The Golf Club is located on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, within the territory of the “Issyk-Kul Golf Resort” multifunctional tourism complex. The total area of this complex is 120 hectares, with 103 hectares allocated to the Golf Club.
The implementation of this project will play a major role in attracting tourist flow to Issyk-Kul not only in the summer months but also in other seasons. A course has been established here for playing golf for 10 months of the year. An 80-room hotel, where necessary infrastructure has been created, will also be at the disposal of guests in the Golf Club area. It is planned to establish a golf academy and host golf tournaments of various levels here.
In addition to the Golf Club, the “Issyk-Kul Golf Resort” complex, which combines tourism, sports, health, and entertainment criteria, will feature several four- and five-star hotels, restaurants, and beach areas.
President of the Kyrgyzstan Golf Federation Khomeni Ergeshov delivered a speech and welcomed the heads of state.
Then, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov delivered a speech.
Afterward, the heads of state toured the territory of the “Issyk-Kul Golf Resort” complex and participated in the symbolic opening ceremony of the golf game.
