In January–June 2026, 14 people were registered with a diagnosis of hepatitis B and 14 with hepatitis C in Azerbaijan, respectively.

Among the patients, 6 with hepatitis B and 8 with hepatitis C were women. In the first half of 2026, one person infected with hepatitis C was in the 0–17 age group, while 13 were in the 18 and older category. According to the data for the same period for hepatitis B, three people were in the 0–17 age group, and 11 were 18 and older.
According to the report, 62 people were registered with a hepatitis B diagnosis in 2025. This figure is 11 people or 21.6% higher compared to 2024.
At the same time, the number of people registered with a hepatitis C diagnosis has decreased. While there were 142 people in 2024, this number fell to 47 in 2025. This represents a decrease of 95 people or 66.9%.
