External debts of state institutions disclosed

As of July 1, 43.6 percent of Azerbaijan’s external public debt portfolio consisted of loans taken by the Ministry of Finance acting on behalf of the government, and 56.4 percent consisted of loans taken by other executive bodies with a state guarantee.

elchi reports, citing the Ministry of Finance, that out of the total external debt amounting to 4 billion 616.8 million US dollars, 2 billion 13.7 million dollars fell to the share of the Ministry of Finance, and 774.6 million dollars to the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.

751 million dollars of the external debt are loans taken by “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, 548.2 million dollars by the State Water Resources Agency, 190.4 million dollars by the State Water Resources Agency of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 105.2 million dollars by the Ministry of Agriculture, and 233.7 million dollars by other state institutions.
