A theoretical-practical awareness-raising event on the topic of “Fire extinguishing and evacuation” was held at the “Qafqaz Riverside Resort” hotel located in Gabala city, organized by the North-West Regional Center of the MES.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the ministry’s press service, the event was attended by the North-West Regional Center of the MES, the State Fire Control Service, and the State Fire Protection Service, as well as hotel staff.
In the theoretical part of the event, hotel staff were provided with detailed information about emergency situations, including necessary rules of conduct during fires, and the use of primary fire extinguishing equipment was demonstrated, followed by a Q&A session.
In the practical part of the event, after the “Alarm” signal was given, operations were simulated by the forces of the Gabala District Fire Protection Unit, who arrived promptly at the scene of the conditional fire, including the evacuation of hotel staff and guests from the “danger zone,” as well as agile “reconnaissance and fire extinguishing” operations at the scene of the “fire.” Additionally, rescuers from the North-West Regional Center “rescued” people who were “left in a helpless state” in the hotel using special equipment.
After the successful training, the results obtained were discussed, and relevant instructions were given.
