Scotland national team goalkeeper Craig Gordon has ended his football career.
elchi reports that the 43-year-old goalkeeper announced his decision in a video posted on his social media account.
Gordon was the oldest player among the more than 1,250 footballers included in the squad lists for the 2026 World Cup.
He did not appear in the tournament and spent all three group stage matches on the substitutes’ bench. The main goalkeeper for the Scotland national team was Angus Gunn.
It should be noted that Craig Gordon made his debut for the Scotland national team in 2004. He played 84 matches for the national team, placing him fifth in the national team’s history in this regard.
