The number of Azerbaijani-invested companies operating in Georgia has exceeded 5,500.
elchi reports that the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, stated this in his speech at the roundtable discussion titled “Georgia-Azerbaijan: Strategic Partnership and Common Future” held in Tbilisi.
According to him, the total volume of investments made by Azerbaijan in Georgia amounts to 3.6 billion US dollars.
“The annual volume of trade turnover between the two countries is equal to 1 billion 400 million US dollars. The goal is to increase this indicator to 2 billion US dollars,” the ambassador added.
Faig Guliyev noted that the existing close political and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia create a strong basis for raising their strategic partnership to the level of strategic alliance.
