The Cinema Agency under the Ministry of Culture has appealed to the public regarding the feature film “44”.

It was stated that filming the movie with mobile phones or other devices during screenings, and unauthorized recording and distribution of footage is unacceptable:
“Such actions are disrespectful to the film’s producer, creative team, and other viewers who come to watch the film. According to the law, making copies of a work falls under the exclusive rights of the copyright holder. The concept of copying in the law also includes video recording. Therefore, unauthorized recording of the film, and especially the distribution of such footage, can lead to violations of copyright and legal requirements.”
The appeal strictly demands that viewers do not record the film with mobile phones or other devices during screenings, and do not distribute footage related to the film without the permission of the rights holder.
“Violation of these requirements may lead to liability under Article 185 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and under Articles 165.1 and 165.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, if the conditions established by law exist.
If violations of the law are detected, appropriate measures will be taken against the guilty parties in accordance with the legislation.”
