A Protocol of Intent and Cooperation has been signed between the Agrarian Services Agency (ASA) and the Seed Producers Sub-Union (TYAB) of Turkey.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Agriculture, the protocol was signed by the Chairman of the Agrarian Services Agency, Sardar Hajiyev, and the head of the Seed Producers Sub-Union, Miktat Olgun.
The main purpose of signing the document is to expand the exchange of information, experience, and modern technologies between the two countries, as well as to contribute to the development of human capital in the agricultural sector and the strengthening of long-term technical cooperation.
According to the protocol, the parties will cooperate in the training of trainers and the organization of training for farmers, the development of seed production and certification systems, and the fields of seed production, processing, storage, and logistics. In addition, joint activities will be carried out in the areas of agricultural mechanization, precision farming, the application of digital and smart agricultural technologies, the promotion of renewable energy solutions, strengthening sustainability in the agricultural sector, agricultural extension, and increasing the knowledge and skills of farmers. Within the framework of cooperation, the expansion of information and technology transfer, the promotion of agricultural innovations, and the sharing of advanced international practices will also be one of the main areas of activity.
Within the framework of the cooperation, applied training programs and technical familiarization visits will be organized in Turkey for Azerbaijani specialists, technical staff, and advanced farmers. The programs to be implemented within the framework of Turkey’s Applied Farmer Training Project (UÇEP) will cover seed production, modern agricultural technologies, digital and precision farming, certification systems, efficient use of agricultural machinery, and other relevant topics. At the same time, participants will have the opportunity to get closely acquainted with the advanced experience of enterprises and scientific research institutes operating in the agricultural sector.
