10 Azerbaijani citizens who were rescued from a ship that was subjected to a drone attack near the city of Odessa were sent back to their homeland from Ukraine today.
According to elchi, accompanied by Farid Babayev, advisor to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, and embassy employee Parviz Asadov, Azerbaijani citizens Latifova Gulana, Nasrullayev Tofiq, Samadov Sabuhi, Ismayilov Ismayil, Aliyev Ayon, Rahimov Javid, Rahimov Mehman, Akhundov Ismayil, Aliyev Gurban, and Abasov Valeh were sent to Azerbaijan via Moldova on July 15.
It should be noted that on July 14, at approximately 15:15 local time, near the coast of Odessa, Ukraine, a civilian merchant ship named Atlas Bey, owned by the Turkish company “Okean Maritime”, was subjected to a drone attack.
11 of the crew members on the ship are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the information, except for the ship’s captain, who is an Azerbaijani citizen, the other members of the crew were brought ashore in the city of Odessa. The search for the captain continues.
