In accordance with its powers, the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take necessary measures to ensure fire safety in the country, including raising public awareness in this direction.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry, on the initiative of the State Fire Control Service, an awareness-raising event was held with the participation of heads of executive authorities of Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar, Shabran and Siyazan districts, employees of the State Agrarian Development Center, municipal chairmen, representatives of “Agroservice” OJSC, police officers and entrepreneurs, in order to ensure fire safety during the harvesting, transportation, storage and processing of grain and technical crops.
At the event held at the Khachmaz District House of Culture, issues were raised before the relevant organizations regarding the ensuring of fire safety during the harvesting, transportation, storage and processing of grain and technical crops, as well as the timely cleaning of dry grass, bushes, and household waste that create fire hazards in open areas in the districts. The relevant rules regarding fire safety were explained, and the importance of carrying out awareness-raising work among the population by local government bodies in the mentioned area was brought to attention.
Extensive discussions were held on the topic, necessary recommendations were given, and questions were answered at the event.
Afterwards, the creation of a safety strip by plowing forest-adjacent and roadside areas with a width of 6-8 meters using special equipment in a grain harvesting field was demonstrated visually.
